Winter Wellness for kids ☃️

Winter is here on this side of the world and while we like to keep our sweet babies warm and prevent colds and flu there are a few wellness tips I use with my toddler:

⛄️Dressing warm: I add an extra layer of clothing when Nevaeh is going out to limit exposure to the cold weather. Viruses in the air cause colds and flu due to exposure of germs in the air.

❄️Kids Multivitamin- Nevaeh takes a chewable multivitamin in the morning one that’s safe for kids and has an all in one formulation. Please consult your healthcare practitioner before giving your child any medication.

❄️Hydration: My toddler always has a water sippy cup handy and her dad is the one that’s adamant about this one☺️ We keep her well hydrated.

☃️Saline drops – I use a saline spray to clear up blocked noses and remove mucous from the nose.

While we can’t prevent colds and flu during winter we can take a few measures to keep our immune systems boosted. Overall good hydration, rest, eating well nutritious food and supplementation can be good measures to start!
