A few easy tips for better health♥️

Hi beautiful people! Sending you love for a beautiful week. Finding out what works for your body type and constitution gets you in flow for better health & don’t forget to take care of your soul! Nourish your mind, body and soul♥️ Here are a few Simple and easy steps for better health:

1) Supplement – Vitamin B -Be aware of your body and know when you feeling out of balance. Exhaustion can sometimes be a sign that our body needs more Vitamin B. Take a daily Vitamin B one that suits your body type , usually a holistic practitioner can advise you on the best supplements for your needs.  There are many ranges of supplements available, one that is in natural form and bioavailable ( rate of absorption) tend to be the beneficial options. 

2)Probiotics-  I have started the year taking a good probiotic, to balance good and bad bacteria and help in overall gut function , probiotics are great additions to our lifestyle. 

3) Get Fit – Exercise has so many benefits to our body. It’s good for muscle health, increases energy, controls your weight, improves your mood to mention a few. Get active and follow a regime. Yoga and meditation definitely works for me😊 

4) Juice it up – I love mixing up great juices to start the day. Try an antioxidant juice mix – 1 cup blueberries, 1 cup strawberries, you can add chopped mango, handful or cranberries water to dilute & blend it together. Simple and nutritious! 

5) Take care of your soul – Nourish your inner being, take time to rest when you feel the need to, do what you love, what makes your soul happy! Find time to nuture your body and spirit and be grateful for all the good that comes your way.

Winter Wellness for kids ☃️

Winter is here on this side of the world and while we like to keep our sweet babies warm and prevent colds and flu there are a few wellness tips I use with my toddler:

⛄️Dressing warm: I add an extra layer of clothing when Nevaeh is going out to limit exposure to the cold weather. Viruses in the air cause colds and flu due to exposure of germs in the air.

❄️Kids Multivitamin- Nevaeh takes a chewable multivitamin in the morning one that’s safe for kids and has an all in one formulation. Please consult your healthcare practitioner before giving your child any medication.

❄️Hydration: My toddler always has a water sippy cup handy and her dad is the one that’s adamant about this one☺️ We keep her well hydrated.

☃️Saline drops – I use a saline spray to clear up blocked noses and remove mucous from the nose.

While we can’t prevent colds and flu during winter we can take a few measures to keep our immune systems boosted. Overall good hydration, rest, eating well nutritious food and supplementation can be good measures to start!

Girl with Anxiety

Dedicated to all anxiety sufferers , you are braver than you think and you stronger than you know !Written by @drkirashaallopi

She checks the time, it’s 11:00pm, she lays in bed awake,

She has had another anxiety attack,

Her mind riddled with fear of the future,

Her palms are sweating, her heartbeat races , the symptoms come back,

Her body is set on fire,

She can’t control her emotions and awakes from the bed,

She opens the door and the night air is cold,

She goes outside for a breath of fresh air and the tears flow,

She knows this is real , after a few moments of silence she gathers her thoughts,

She knows she can beat this, she pulls herself up and closes her eyes hoping to fall asleep ,

She has had another anxiety attack and she knows this is real.

Anxiety based disorder, anxiety attacks, panic attacks and depression are real and needs to be addressed. Speak to a mental health practitioner and seek support.

I’m a mother of 2 under 2 ♥️

My sweet babies♥️

I never imagined having 2 beautiful babies under 2 and then I realize it’s exactly what my soul needed and what I asked my beautiful GOD for ♥️ I feel blessed writing this post to you, it’s been a long , deeply empowering, soul stirring, journey for me with many life lessons and health challenges along the way but by far motherhood has been the most transformational.

My days start early when my babies wake up, my toddler is a busy body with a zest for life always ready to embrace the day she’s my wildflower! My newborn clings to me needing all the attention and affection. Some days are a blur, some days harder and some easier but no matter the day it’s so beautifully rewarding to be their mother. Exhausting and rewarding in one whole breath! I’m blessed to be surrounded by a supportive husband and family through it all♥️

So mama , sometimes both will need you at the same time, sometimes you won’t have time for you, it will be challenging, there would be sleepless nights but know this those beautiful babies need you and chose you because you are the one they will turn to, love and adore forever more. They can count on your love and your heart ♥️ GOD chose you to carry them, to this earthly realm, he knew your heart was to love those babies unconditionally. To all mothers out there, you are beautiful and amazing beyond words ♥️ Just so you need the reminder!

God, Motherhood & Purpose ♥️ – My wild flower♥️

Heres my wild flower 💐my little miss sass! Nevaeh , my baby girl made me a mother in this lifetime and gave me the gift of motherhood♥️She’s determined, strong willed, fiery and full of life and laughter. She’s my daily dose of love and kisses, she’s my sensitive baby with starlike beautiful energy.

She has thought me many lessons about being a mom & has been one of the greatest steps towards my growth. Nevaeh is my love in expansion♥️ I had to master patience, balance, my health & myself in this new blessed role with grace and gratitude. Her pregnancy was not an easy one for me and I battled with symptoms till the end, I went into labor on the 31st December a few days earlier. I also battled with postnatal depression for the few days after her birth. It was not easy on me mentally , emotionally and physically. The next few months and with healing & grace, I found myself learning the journey of motherhood and learning about the needs of my baby. I have never experienced such a selfless love before, never been so protective over a little life and never felt so responsible for this gift from GOD♥️

So here’s to the little girl with sass that has the most beautiful wildfire energy who has made me a mother♥️ I love you beyond words my darling!

God, Motherhood and Purpose ♥️

I remember taking this picture out like it was yesterday. It was a 2014 trip my mom and I took to Thailand. I was single at the time. I remember wanting a family of my own to share my life with. There are so many beautiful statues in this country. And one day in the city of Bangkok there was a prayer going on to Lord Dharma. I remember offering flowers and asking God that my heart desires to marry a beautiful king and have kids, I would have loved to have a prince and princess. I bought two T-shirt’s for a girl and a boy🥰on that trip.

So why am I telling you this? Here I am 7 years later married to the man of my dreams and a mother to two kids – a boy and a girl. Motherhood has been a journey for me into the biggest evolution. And today I’m finding my balance between serving a purpose and maintaining a family. I will always serve a purpose to GOD in the best way I can. So here’s a message of hope no matter how bad times are just pray, pray for better days, be grateful for all you have in life and strengthen your walk with God, have faith and love to believe all things are possible. No Matter how long the wait, the wait is worth it!

Trauma unit after Trauma unit, I remember the nurse telling me you are too young for this! This was my reality at the time in 2011. I was diagnosed with depression & anxiety after a trauma. I couldn’t control the panic attacks. I remember having every symptom of anxiety, and being just one ball of nervousness & fear. I had no light and life to my days. It was a debilitating time of my life.

Hi , I’m Dr Kirasha Allopi and I’m an Anxiety, depression and trauma survivor. In 2011, I suffered a traumatic event that spiraled me into Depression and anxiety. My recovery took 8 months and I healed myself naturally. It was a painful process but the evolution to becoming a healed and healthier women was part of my purpose♥️

Today I am an integrative medical practitioner, coach, healer, writer, trainer and channeler. I have worked in the field of wellness and healing  for the past 14 years. Anxiety 101 – Boundaries

Make your mental health a priority 👏👏

For people with anxiety, setting boundaries can often be difficult but it’s the healthy thing to do. If something or someone compromises your state of being- whether this be mentally, emotionally, physically or spiritually it’s ok to say no.

So what exactly are boundaries?  Boundaries help us to define who we are.  Boundaries can apply to any area of our life. A common problem for people who battle to set boundaries is that setting boundaries is a way of being selfish. However, taking care of yourself is not selfish, it’s an act of self love♥️

Look at setting boundaries as an act of self love and love yourself enough♥️

Anxiety 101- Self help tips ♥️

I often get told that I’m a calm and grounded person and I think to myself what a wonderful compliment although I do have my moments just like you where I get unbalanced ☺️ I’ve been guided to write about anxiety for some time now… If you don’t know my history I’ve been diagnosed with anxiety & depression in 2011 after a traumatic experience. While the experience was one that debilitated me on every level it was the greatest healing journey of my life. It made me realize my strength, my power, my passion and my purpose. I healed myself the natural way with complimentary medication and used natural therapies.

What is anxiety? A mental health disorder characterised by feelings of worry, anxiety or fear that are strong enough to interfere with one’s daily activities.Examples of anxiety disorders include panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.(Mayo clinic)

Anxiety manifests in many symptoms like fear, difficulty breathing, panic attacks, heart palpitations, sweating, chest pain and so on.

So the first measure I advise anyone to do when they having feelings of anxiety is stop and BREATHE. Centre yourself and focus on your breath. Breath deeply in and deeply out , concentrate on bringing healing to your body and ground yourself if you have to. Be still and just be in touch with yourself.

Love captivates the mind, fills the heart and lightens the soul

Love is the only emotion that can make me feel whole,

It has the power to transform, to heal to make one feel complete,

Its grows in magnitude and intensity with every heartbeat

Love is forever in my being….

Love is one of the highest vibrational feelings I have found there is in the universe. I say that with great acknowledgement as with Love for self and love for life our level of existence becomes more meaningful and profound.  All relationships begin with love, that tingling warm, fluttering comforting feeling. Trust, respect, understanding, support are other important elements that sustain a growing relationship.Balancing giving and receiving is also an important factor for relationships and should be in equal balance so that both partners are in harmony with each other. Relationships take time to build, patience to develop and a need for both individuals who truly want to be together.

So the question remains, what exactly is the secret to a happy couple? I have found from my experience that there are key elements to a GOOD relationship.

Time – All relationships need time to build, each partner brings a diversity of their character to the relationship. Good and strong foundations take time to develop. Always give your partner the time they deserve, you will never understand the importance of time until you don’t have enough of it. Often couples get involved in their routine of life and forget to give their relationship the time and attention it truly deserves. Set aside quality time, romantic breaks and plan beautiful moments together. Invest in your relationship.

Acceptance – Accept your partner. We all have different unique characters. We are not perfect and we are always striving to become better. Accept your partner as an entire individual love them for who they truly are.

Support – Supporting your partner is one of the crucial elements to a good relationship. Support each other’s dreams, goals and aspirations. Encourage your partner to be the best that they can be. Be there as their source of encouragementand light in times of hardships and share their joy. Supportive healthy relationships can lower anxiety and stress in an individual.

Communication– Communicate about everything. Don’t expect your partner to know your needs. Verbalise your needs, wants and insecurities to your partner. Let them know what you are feeling. Don’t expect your partner to read your mind. Communicate to each other in a respectful way.

Respect – Each individual should maintain a level of respect in a relationship. Conflict will arise and there will be arguments, handle them in a dignified manner. Degrading your partner and making them feel of no value is a great obstacle in relationships and creates problems. Remember that respect starts with yourself first!

Responsibility of self and self love – Be responsible for “you” as a person. In life no one can take care of you, you need to take care of and love yourself first. Never forget that love for self is the greatest love of all. You are an embodiment of love. Our entire life begins to shift in magnificent ways when we develop self love. Spend time getting to know you and embrace your uniqueness. You are a gift to the world.

Commitment – Be committed to your partner and make them feel that your relationship is of priority and of importance.Stay committed to yourself and your relationship. Be your partner’s best friend and lover. Good friendships always make good future relationships.

Make GOD the first priority in your life. Our creator is a powerful force in our life and his love is expansive. God is love and God’s love is everywhere.  Relationships based on God’s love first last a lifetime and are eternally bonded.

We as women wish for and dream of our knight in shining armour, that true gentleman. All this begins with placing high value, respect and importance in ourselves as women. We reflect and attract what we become in life. There are incredibly great men out there willing to treat you with the love and respect you deserve. Allow yourself to experience this love with all your heart. We also need to be more accepting to the romantic gestures we receive from the special men in our lives.

Our upbringing and our childhood also relates to our capacity to love. Often when we are faced with hardships and difficulties growing up we tend to block our capacity to receive love in its greatest form. We feel inadequate and of no value and we seek to fill this emptiness by getting into a relationship. Sometimes our relationships are not healthy and we stay because we are afraid to be alone. Fear of being alone is a common reason I have found people get into relationships. When we grow and develop ourselves as individuals we tend to be better at relationships and we get into a partnership where both partners develop and benefit, an inter-dependent relationship not one of dependency. In childhood, when we receive love, care and nurturing as a child we are able to feel more loved and accepted in society. As we grow older it is important to nourish the inner child within us. Nourish your inner child by being creative and playful. There is an inner child within all of us that needs attention sometimes no matter how old we get. Unresolved feelings about our past, hurt in previous relationships, emotional baggage all affect our ability to love. Overcome negative thought patterns or speak to a professional therapist to work out issues that prevent you from trusting and fully accepting love in your life.

To love and be loved is one of the greatest feelings of all. May we all open our hearts to receiving and giving love and extending it to all around us. As Deepak Chopra quote’s- If love is universal, no one can be left out.
